Richard Harold Colbert

       Richard “Dick” Colbert passed away in his home on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, he was 59 years old.  Dick was born in Mansfield, Ohio on August 31, 1957 to Lewis and Rita (Thompson) Colbert.  He was a man who was full of life and laughter, and one who enjoyed kidding around and pulling practical jokes on the people around him.  He loved dogs, particularly his Boston Terriers, and enjoyed music to the depth of his soul; working as a Disc Jockey for his business Dynamite Sound.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Caldwell, and had been active in Presbyterian churches in his area.

                Dick is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Myer, and Angela (Jamie) Taylor, his beloved grandchildren, Shelby Price, Shyanne Taylor, Dakota Taylor, Ty Myer, Maddie Myer, and Drew Myer.  He will be missed by his great-grandchildren, Jace Jackson, Journee Smith, Jason Smith, and Isabella Weber.  He also leaves to mourn a brother, Thurland (Laura) Colbert, a sister, Melissa (Edward) Fry, his half-sister, Bonnie Garrett, and his longtime friends, Barbara Casto and Nancy Gibbs as well as his aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

                Friends and family may attend calling hours at the Farus Funeral home of New Concord on Monday, June 19 from 4 to 8PM.  Services will be held the following day at the Norwich Presbyterian Church, located at10245 Norwich Dr, Norwich, Ohio with a calling hour beginning at 10AM, and services starting at 11AM.  Burial will follow at the Norwich Presbyterian Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Paws Inc. Humane Society of Noble County, PO Box 4, Caldwell, Ohio 43724.
