Reba L. Sims

Reba L. Sims, 84 of Zanesville passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Genesis Hospital following a brief illness and surrounded by her loving family.

Reba was born in Zanesville on May 28, 1933.  She is the daughter of the late Charles and Odesa (Trott) Huey.  She worked for over 22 years at the Zanesville City Schools where she worked in the cafeteria until she retired in 1998.  She was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church and she was a loving mother, grandmother and she adored her several great-grandchildren.

Reba is survived by her two daughters Debra and Todd Huff of Columbus and Tina and Danny James of Duncan Falls; her  grandchildren Heather (Joe Newsome) Nutt, Shannon (Mike Thompson) Wiseman, Sara (Zack) Jacobs, Samantha Huff and Amanda (Eric) Zupp, Jason (Andrea Lane) James and Danielle (Casey Hazen) Hargraves, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and her special pal Lilly Hazen.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Garvin who passed away in 1986 and her second husband, Elmer Sims who passed away in 2011; her grandson, Christopher Huff who passed away in 2003; her two brothers, Guy and Gerald Huey and her three sisters, Norma Larrison, Mae Puckett and Marilyn Smith. 

Visitations will be 4 to 8 pm Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
