This is a very nice obituary. I am so embarrassed and ashamed for him. That he would carry his lies into death. He was a cook for Sause , not a captain, he never ministered to anyone, he was a wife beater and a child abuser and a felon. And the worst lie of all was that he served his country. He never did. He was kicked out right after boot camp. I am so sorry for Linda. She was the love of his life because she believed all his stories. Myself and my children who lived the horror are glad he's gone and no one will ever be deceived or beaten by him again. The world is a much nicer place now.

That should say "my world", not "the world".
