Mary Ruth Coles

Mary Ruth Coles, 66 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Altercare in Zanesville.

Mary Ruth was born in Zanesville on August 7, 1952.  She is the daughter of Robert Coles of Zanesville and the late Elsie Mae (Goins) Coles.  She was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother.  She graduated in 1971 from Roseville High School and from The Ohio University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Specialized Studies.  She worked as a beautician at Hair Happening, she also worked for 5-B’s sewing, for Morgan Metropolitan Housing, as a caregiver for American Nursing and she retired in 2017 from Help Me Grow in Zanesville.  She was a former volunteer and Board Member of the Muskingum County Red Cross.

In addition to her father, Mary Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Camelyn Coles-Vanoster of Blue Rock and Jessie Coles of Zanesville; her grandchildren, Sadie Coles, Cheyenne Vanoster and Olivia Ickes; a granddaughter in her heart, Lexi Rowland; her brother, Anthony (Michelle) Coles of Naperville, IL; her nephews, Jayden Coles and Landon Coles and her ‘Sister Cousin’ Cheryl Bell.

In addition to her mother, Mary Ruth is preceded in death by her infant son, Nicholas Robert David Coles.

Visitations will be 12 to 2 pm on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.  Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm with Pastor Gay Blau officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her mother in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
