Martha Kaye McElfresh, 80 of Carlwick, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, April 13, 2018 at her home.
Martha was born in Morgan County on August 17, 1937. She is the daughter of the late Charlie and Virgene (Waymer) Ray. She retired from Philo-Duncan Falls Elementary School where she worked as Libraian for over 45 years, and previously worked at Bernies, Gliddon’s, and Goody‘s restaurants. Martha was a member of the Malta United Methodist Church and Olive Branch Chapter 251 OES.
Martha is survived by her son, Steven (Vicky) McElfresh, her daughter, Tina Brown; a former daughter-in-law, Sherri McElfresh; her grandchildren, Jinni Linn (Dale) Johnson, Erika McElfresh and Chase McElfresh; her great grandchildren, Malorie and Sisalie Johnson, and a great-great granddaughter, Sophie Johnson; her sisters, Sheila Acord, Mary Morrison, and Jean Anne (Ron) McFerren and her brother, Richard (Carol) Ray.
In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband, George F. EcElfresh who passed away February, 1, 1991; her son, Greg McElfresh and her grandson, Zack McElfresh.

Visitations will be 2 to 6 on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Monday, April 16, 2018 with Pastor Mike Wells officiating. Private family burial will take place beside her husband in Malta Cemetery.
