Lois Marie Howard

Lois Marie (Dingess) Howard of Cambridge, went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2018. She was 82 years old.
Lois was born in Huntington, WV on October 4, 1936. She is the daughter of the late Ansel and Martha (Billups) Dingess. She was a devout Christian and the Citizens Journal’s Homemaker of Year in 1971.
Lois is survived by her children, Don (Peggy) Jones of Columbus, Charles “Ron” Jones of Columbus, Jeffrey A. Jones of Columbus, Theresa L. Hanks of Cambridge and Pamela R. Harris of Cambridge; her two step-children, Debbie Kovar and Vicky (Chris) Carlisle; her 15 grandchildren, Kyle Jones, Stacy Jones, Derek Jones, Steven Harris, Melynda Antonucci, Jennifer Clifford, Stephanie Combs, Thomas "Tommy" Hanks, Jamie Goodman, Angie Shaffer, JP Kovar, Mandy Colvin, Brad Price, Ryan Price and Caleb Price; her 25 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Jones; her second husband, James Taylor; her third husband, Raymond Howard; her granddaughter, Brianna Jones, her grandson, Christopher Jones; her brothers, Ed, William, Ansel Jr. Dillion.
In keeping with her wishes a caring cremation will take place and a memorial service will take place at a later date. The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is entrusted with caring for the family.
