Lindsay Mattox

Lindsay A. Mattox, 69, of Crooksville, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 26, 2017 at her residence with her family by her side.  She was born November 3, 1947 in Zanesville.  She is the daughter of the late Roy and Evelyn (Collier) Thornton.

Lindsay worked as a customer service banker, retiring from Chase Bank after 36 years of service.  She is a faithful member of the Chandlersville United Methodist Church.

Lindsay is survived by her loving husband Mark D. Mattox, whom she married July 25, 1998; her daughter Erin (Randy) Taylor of Crooksville; her step-daughters Tiffany (David) Starcher of Norwich, Megann Mattox and Kristin Mattox both of Zanesville; her step-sons Ryan Mattox of New Jersey and Devin Mattox of Zanesville; four step-grandchildren; her brother Roy (Pat) Thornton of York, South Carolina and her sister-in-law Joan Woods of Moses Lake, WA.

In addition to her parents, Lindsay is preceded in death by her step-brother Bob Woods.

In lieu of flowers the family askes memorial contributions may be made to the ALS of Central and Southern Ohio, 1170 Old Henderson Rd, Suite #221, Columbus, OH 43220.    

Family and friends are welcome to attend calling hours for Lindsay from 3-5 & 6-8 pm on Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held 1 pm on Tuesday with Pastor Doug Winner officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her parents in Memorial Park Cemetery.
