Rev. Larry J. Beougher, 81, of Duncan Falls, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2018 at Brookdale Care Center in Zanesville.
Larry was born in Liberty Center, Ohio on June 4, 1937. He is the son of the late Judson and Donna (Mourer) Beougher. He retired after serving 15 years as a minister, first with the Amanda United Methodist Church in Amanda, Ohio and for Mt. Zion Church in Lancaster, Ohio then for the Pyrmont United Methodist Church in Pyrmont, Ohio, then for Philo United Methodist Church in Philo Ohio. After leaving the ministry, he was a sheep farmer and sold feed in Muskingum and Guernsey Counties. He was a member of the Philo United Methodist Church and he served his country in the US Marine Corps Reserves.
Larry is survived by his wife, Linda (Wilson) Beougher whom he married March 19, 1960; his two sons, Lane (Stephanie) Beougher of Reynoldsburg, and Dennis (Elma) Beougher of Alexandria, VA, and a daughter, Carol (Bill) Murphy of Zanesville; his five grandchildren, Nathaniel Beougher, Logan Beougher, Bradley Beougher, Alisa (Eric) Woodard and Adam (Taylor) Kohler, and his brother Dwight (Jane) Beougher.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his granddaughter Kelsey Beougher.
Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday with Pastor Dee Rader officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
