Kenneth Lee Starkey, 86 of South Zanesville, passed away on July 12, 2018 at Genesis Hospital CCU. As sad as our hearts are at this time, we are happy that he is no longer in pain.
Kenneth was born in Philo on Janury 10, 1932. He is the son of the late John and Dicia (Cain) Starkey. He retired as supervisor after 30 years working at United Technology on Ceramic Avenue. He served his country in the US Army serving with the Airborne Division.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 66 years, Freda (Woodruff) Starkey, whom he married June 22, 1952; his daughter, Elaine (Jan) Crawmer of Zanesville; Three grandchildren, Chuck (Tracy) Rucker, Craig (Amy) Starkey and Beth (Brady) Stottsberry; his eight great-granddaughters, Gabby (Caleb) Wyatt, Addison and Riley Rucker, Aerien and Brianna Starkey, Emma McElroy and Blake and Madyson Stottsberry; and one great-great grandson Rowan Wyatt.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by his son Gary J. Starkey and his six brothers, Ed, Donald, Dale, Dick, Clifford and Harold Starkey.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the ER Trauma team, CCU team and palliative care team. Each and everyone of you made this time easier for our family.
Thank-You to all of our Family, Friends and Dad's Neighbors for all your prayers, hugs, food, mowing, delivering the mail and newspaper to their door for the past few months. You all mean the world to us.
Visitations will be 11 am to 1 pm on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm with Rev. Terry Newman officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery with full military honors provived by the US Army Color Guard, The George Selsam VFW Post #1058, American Legion Post #29.
