Kenneth Dean Ables passed away Unexpectedly in his home on Friday, December 1, 2017; he was 61 years old.  Kenny was born in Zanesville, Ohio on September 21, 1956 to Gilbert and Ruby Maxine (Garber) Ables.  He was a man who cherished the land, and he loved to work his farm; which he did night and day.  He was a good friend and a great guy; there was nothing he wouldn’t do to help a friend, neighbor, or someone in need.  He was a hard worker who dedicated his life to his farm and his family.  He was known for always having an ornery smile on his face.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He treasured his family, and doted on his grandchildren, whom he planned on spending a lot of time with when he retired.  A salt of the earth man, he was extremely spiritual and had a deep and abiding faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents.   He is survived by his daughters, Tara Reis, Cassie (Zachary) Hugebeck, and Kelly (Seth) Burdette.  He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved grandchildren, Aiden Reis, Ashley Rose Reis, Conley Hugebeck, Jax Hugebeck, Claire Hugebeck, Noah Burdette, and Nora Burdette.  He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Vicki Morris and Debbie (Kenny) Lake, his nieces and nephews, Jason Morris, Travis Morris, Trisha Morris, Lindsey Lake, Daniel Lake, Lacey Lake, and the mother of his children, Patty Ables.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours for Kenny at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 5 to 8PM.  Services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 11am, with a calling hour starting at 10AM.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pastor Keith Taylor will officiate.
