Kathleen A. Talk

Kathleen A. Talk, 56 of Roseville, passed away on January 17, 2018 at Genesis Hospital following her battle with cancer and surrounded by her loving family.

Kathy was born in Patterson, New Jersey on June 5th 1961.  She is the daughter of the late Arthur and Janet Merritt.

She was a beloved 4th grade language arts teacher at the Duncan Falls Elementary School for over 10 years.  Some of her fondest memories were of her kids that she taught.  She encouraged them to strive for their best and loved them dearly. 

Her most cherished memories, however, were those of her two sons Ryan and Elijah Talk.  Everywhere she went you would hear tales of their achievements and well-being.   You never had to ask. 

In the words of her boys, the way to best describe their loving mother was to read the book The Giving Tree.

Kathy is survived by her two sons Ryan Talk of Los Angeles, CA and Elijah Talk of Roseville, OH who is attending Ashland University; her brother Michael (Sam) Merritt, sister Kimberly Merritt, 5 nieces and nephews, and 13 great nieces and nephews.

Throughout her battle with cancer, Kathy always claimed that she was healed and that God’s got her.  To commemorate and honor her courageous fight with cancer, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Kathy Talk to the American Cancer Society.  She was truly an inspiration to all.

Visitations will be 4 to 8 pm, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held 1 pm Sunday with Pastor Wes Kidwell officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
