Jackie E. Poland, 73 of Cumberland, passed away peacefully at The Marietta Center, surrounded by his loving family on October 6, 2018.
Jack was born in Pleasant City on January 4, 1945. He is the son of the late Dick W. Poland and June (Stevens) Stewart. He retired after 48 years from Fabriform in Byesville where he worked as a plastic fabricator and shipper. He attended the Pilgrim Chapel in Cumberland.
Jack is survived by his wife, Mary (Fogle) Poland, whom he married July 21, 1962; his children, Jackie (Bob) Speicker, Eric (Lisa) Poland, Mary (Richard) Wells, Teri (Jerry Lee) Moore, Jeff Poland, and a honorary son, Jerry (Jenny) Blattner; 18 grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren; his two brothers and seven sisters.
In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Sue Yerian, an infant great granddaughter; four brothers and his one sister.
Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home, 343 West Main Street, Cumberland, where funeral services will be held 11 am on Wednesday. Greg Thacker will officiate the services and he will be laid to rest in the Cumberland Cemetery.
