Harry Curtis Hunter Sr., 76 of McConnelsville, passed away on October 4, 2018 at Genesis Hospital CCU.
Curt was born in Zanesville on October 1, 1942. He is the son of the late Robert and Ruth (Young) Hunter. He was a lifetime area farmer. He previously worked for Western Southern Life Insurance Company and for the Crooksville Coal Company. He also worked several years as a welder for various construction companies in the Columbus area. He was a member of the Eagles #302 in Zanesville and he was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Philo.
Curt was a loving family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time teaching them about farming, welding, and ‘doing stuff the right way!’
Curt is survived by his wife Sue (Ditter) Hunter, whom he married March 21, 1964; his son Harry Curtis Hunter Jr of Richmond, VA; his daughter, Michelle (John) Bartgis of Blue Rock; his grandchildren, Holly and Jordan Bartgis; and his two brothers, Robert Edgar Hunter of Akron and Clark Hunter of McConnelsville.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where a prayer service will be held at 4 pm with Lisa Jenkins officiating.
