George W. Burtnett, 82, of Chandlersville, passed away on February 16, 2018 at Adams Lane Care Center. George was born in Pennsville, on May 18, 1935, the son of Frank and Florence (Gladden) Burtnett. He worked for Baker Brothers Wholesale Grocery as a truck Driver and then for Grief Brothers in Zanesville for 38 years as a forklift operator. He was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church, he delivered meals for Christ Table for over 20 years and he was also known as “Willie the Clown”.
George is survived by his wife of 55 years, Regina (McCort) Burtnett; his children, Jerry (Mae Weber) Ray, Ed Tabler, Tony (Helen) Burtnett, and Tom (Heather) Burtnett; his 5 grandchildren; his 2 great-grandchildren and his siblings, Marie Hamilton, Robert (Diana) Burtnett, Max (Coleen) Burtnett, Genevieve (John) Pearson, and Kathy Barr. A memorial service will be held 4PM on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 at the Coburn United Methodist Church with Pastor Webster Cox officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery
