Esther Marie Godfrey

Esther (Marie) Godfrey, 91, of Philo passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the Oaks at Northpointe in Zanesville.

Marie was born February 6, 1926 in Perry County.  She is the daughter of the late Asa and Maggie (Kronenbitter) Rowe.

Marie was a protestant by faith and was an EMT for the Harrison Township EMS, serving as secretary from 1982 to 2008. Avon representative for over 30 years and member of Avon President Club.

She is survived by her Daughters, Penny (Fred) Barker of Philo, Rebecca Rushing of Chuch Hill, Tenn, Carmela (Marvin) Houk of Heath, her son  Peter Godfrey of Philo, she has 13  grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3  great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her Husband, Albert E. Godfrey, her sons Michael Godfrey who passed away on Nov 19, 2009 and Patrick Godfrrey who passed away in 1976, her brother Floyd Rowe and sisters Bernice Fox, Rosa Neil, and Elizabeth Richards.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 pm Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral sericecs will be held at 1 pm Tuesday with Rev. Arthur Potts officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Zion Cemetery in Portersville.
