Doris Mae Brown

Doris Mae Brown, 77, of Lore City passed away peacefully on December 11, 2019 in her home while in the loving presence of her family.  She was born in Elyria, Ohio on December 30, 1941. She is the daughter of the late Arthur Galley and Ruth (Funk) Galley.  She worked as a Nurse’s Aide, she attended the Salvation Army Church in Cambridge, she enjoyed operating Ham radios and she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Doris is survived by her son, Walter E. (Crystal) Brown, her daughters, Barbara E. (Rob) Ogden, Jennifer L. Brown, and Alison A. Brown; her two brothers, Arthur Galley and Ralph (Veronica) Galley, as well as her seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her church family.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Brown, who passed away on February 8, 2009.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours for Doris at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 11 to 1 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday with Captain Candy McMillen officiating.
