Cecelia J. Ruby

Cecelia Janet Ruby, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of January 6, 2019 at her home in New Concord.  She was 89 years old.

Cecelia was born in Highland Township on September 11, 1929.  She is the daughter of the late Oral W. and Marie (Fisher) Hanna.  She worked for Doctors Jones office in Zanesville as an X-ray technician until she started a family and became a devoted housewife to her family.  She was a member of the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and reminiscing about all the good and bad that went on in life.

Cecelia is survived by her two sons, William A. (Sherry Hylton) Ruby; James D. (Becky Clodfelter) Ruby; her grandson, Dylan Ruby; her step-grandchildren and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, Cecelia is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ruby who passed away in 2014.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 am on Wednesday.  Pastor Tim Pollock will officiate the service.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
