Obituary
Mickey “Mick” L. Shryock, 74 of Bloomfield, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 20, 2023, at the Riverside Hospital in Columbus surrounded by his loving family.
Mick was born on May 17, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is the son of the late Murl T. and Mavis I. (Arnold) Shryock. Mick worked and eventually retired from Longaberger Basket. He enjoyed racing go-karts, hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR.
Mick is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Darlene (Watson) Shryock, whom he married on August 6, 1982; his children, Mike Shryock of Frazeysburg and Michele (Andy) Novak of Coshocton; his grand-children, Logan (Calynn) Shryock, Gavin Shryock, Nathan (Jessica) Susil, Ace Shryock, and Austin Shryock; his five great-grandchildren; his two step-great-grandchildren; his siblings, Ronald Shryock of Coshocton, Carol Fortney of Heath, Janet Baker of Coshocton, Sue Sowards of Heath, Nancy Holmes of Newark, Sally Trowbridge of Heath, Edith (Rob) Sellers of Nashport, Kathy Pryor of Zanesville, Peggy Wade of Newark and Penny Moder of Newark; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Mick is preceded in death by his brother, Rick Shryock; his brother-in-laws, Jim Fortney, Bob Baker, Rex Sowards, Roy Holmes, Ron Pryor, and Bruce Wade.
Visitations will be from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, March 24, 2023, at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord at 63 West Main Street, New Concord, Ohio 43762.
