Jane Elizabeth (Knicely) Blackstone passed away in her home on Thursday, July 12th, 2018; she was 83 years old. She was born on April 4th, 1935 IN New Concord, Ohio to Blaine and Fanny Elizabeth (Garber) Knicley. Jane was an active traveler, who loved to visit her relatives. She was very active in her churches, belonging to the East Union Church for a number of years before joining the Westminster Presbyterian Church of New Concord. She served in the capacity as a Sunday School Teacher, and the choir. She also belonged to the Champion Sparkplug Retirees, where she served as President for many years. She was also a frequent tour guide for Buckeye Tours.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Gary) Kackley, and Amy (Will) Loper, her grandchildren, Ryan (Amanda) Kackley, and Derek Kackley, her great-grand children, Zoey & Logan Kackley, and her siblings, Nancy Lucille, Evelyn, and Donald; as well as several sisters-in law, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Riley Blackstone, Jr., her siblings, Valley, Dana, Edward, Golda, Phillip, Gaylord, Albert William, and Laurel Rodney.
Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours for Jane at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Monday, July 16th from 11am to 1pm. Services will begin at 1pm with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating services; burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Westland Township. The family deeply request that no flowers be sent, but rather donations be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 17 N Liberty St, New Concord, OH 43762 or the Camp Echoing Hills, 36272 Co Rd 79, Warsaw, OH 43844.
