Virginia D. Hartman

Virginia D. Hartman, 88, of Philo passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2016 while under the care of Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville.

Virginia was born on May 17, 1928 in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late Stanley D. and Ellen (Brooks) Mahon.  She worked for several years for Polly’s Restaurant in Duncan Falls and she attended the Duncan Falls Baptist Church.

Virginia is survived by her children Gregory Hartman (Randi Arnold), Anita (Alan) Dickson, Daun (John) Welch all of Philo; her grandchildren Chad (Jamie) Dickson, Robert Hartman, Allison (Todd) Ingram, Kristen Miller, Michael Hartman and Cody Welch; her great grandchildren Michael Sellars, Allyson Dickson, Lora Dickson, Branson Hartman, Kendyll Hartman and Ethan Ingram; her siblings Robert Mahon, Judy (Bernard) Hamilton and Dee (Valerie) Mahon all of Dresden and her sister-in-law Delores Mahon of Zanesville.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Robert Hartman who passed away Sept. 21, 1986; her brother John Mahon and her two sisters Eleanora Bice, Edith Andrews and her sister-in-law Ruth Mahon.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday with Pastor Gerry Wade officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
