Thomas A. Barker

Thomas A. Barker, 72, of Duncan Falls, passed away at his home on December 16, 2014.

Thomas was born on November 30, 1942 in Zanesville the son of the late Alvin and Mildred (Higgens) Barker.  He previously lived in Las Vegas until returning home in 1990 to care for his ailing mother.  Thomas began working at the Muskingum County Library in 1993 and he continued to work there until the present day.

Thomas is survived by a close friend Mary Stevens and his library family.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Thomas’ name to the Muskingum County Library Fund, c/o The Community Foundation, 534 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio, OH 43701.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm with a Dominican Father from St. Thomas Aquinas Church to be celebrant.  He will be laid to rest beside his mother and father in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
