Sandra “Sandy” L. Corns

Sandra L. “Sandy” Corns, 76 of Zanesville, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2017 while under the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House in Zanesville.

Sandy was born in Zanesville on April 21, 1941.  She is the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Basehart) Pierce Adrian Pierce.  She retired in 2003 from Bethesda Hospital where she worked for most of  her life as a nurse and she was a faithful member of  the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Zanesville.

Sandy is survived by her two sons Mike (Billie) Corns of McConnelsville and Jeff (Debbie) Corns of Blue Rock and her grandson Cameron (Lacey) Corns, several other grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Sandy is preceded in death by her father and step-mother Adrian & Fern Pierce; her mother Elizabeth Pierce; her two brothers Donald Pierce and Richard Pierce and her sister Sherry Plants.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 11 to 1 pm Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday with Pastor Tim Patton officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
