Rosa (Payne) Lewis, 88 of Ironspot, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Adams Lane Care Center surrounded by her loving children and family.
Rosa was born on October 17, 1929 in Cannelville, Ohio. The daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Barker) Payne. Rosa worked at Robinson and Ransbottom Pottery for 45 years where she made numerous friends and acquired many “adopted’ children. She loved the outdoors and that shown thru to her children and grandchildren when she took them hunting. She was also very active in the local 4-H groups.
Rosa is survived by her children, John, Geney and George Lewis of the home; Ann (David) Williamson of Roseville, Marilyn Denny and Bertha McCormick of Crooksville, Janie Lewis of Zanesville and Todd Lewis and Daylan Harris of Philo; her nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and her sister Racheal “Betty” Cox of Cannelville.
In addition to her parents, Rosa is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lewis; her son Roy Lee Lewis; one grandson Teddy Lewis and one brother Gene Payne.

Visitations will be from 4 to 8 pm, Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1 pm at the Word of God Community Church, 5445 Third Street, Roseville (Ironspot), Ohio with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband and her son in Rose Hill Cemetery.
