Robert Ramsey

Robert Ramsey, 98 of Zanesville, passed away at 12:30 am on, Friday, June 23, 2017 at Adams Lane Care Center while under the care of Genesis Hospice.

Robert was born in Evans City, PA on August 12, 1918.  He is the son of the late Emma and Clyde Ramsey.  He retired from Ramsey Water Well Drilling after many years of owning his own business.  He was a member of the Duncan Falls Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder in past years.  He was a 74 year member of Malta Lodge F&AM #118 of Norwich and also an honorary member of Anchor Lodge F&AM #283 of Duncan Falls.

Robert is survived by his children, Emily (Paul Mitsuuchi) Ramsey of Oxnard, CA; his sons Ronald  (Sydney) Ramsey of Philo, Norman (Belita) Ramsey of Blue Rock, Robert Ramsey of PA, and Bill (Tracy) Ramsey of Zanesville; his grandchildren Marcus, Andrea, Dustin, Taylor Ann, and Samantha; great grandchildren Alexander, Faith, Zoe, Maggie, Levi and Ramsey; one brother Jerry, one step-brother Dick Young of Ulysses, PA and one step-sister Pat (John) Conable of Arvada, CO.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Vera Ramsey who passed away on June 26, 2009; his daughter Lucy Ann Rude Bristol, his brothers Samuel, Donald, and James; his sisters Sara, Lila, and Sylvia, step-mother Eleanor Ramsey and two step brothers Jack and Ted Young.

Calling hours and funeral services will be private for the family with the Rev. Darla Revennaugh officiating.  He will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
