Robert Paul Aitken

                Robert “Bob” Paul Aitken passed away peacefully in his home, while in the comforting presence of his family, after a battle with cancer, he was 68 years old.  Bob was born in Zanesville, Ohio to Kenny and Frances (Armbruster) Aitken on October 29th, 1947.  He proudly served in the National Guard; he worked at AK Steel for 35 years and was a volunteer at the Wilds.

                Bob is predeceased by his parents; he is survived by his children including his daughter, Jennifer Foraker (Bill), and his son, DJ Aitken (Shala), as well as his grandchildren, Kellie, Anna, Katherine, and Caydon.  He will be deeply missed by his brother, Bill (Linda) Aitken, and his sister, Barbara (Tom) Baker, as well as his best friend, Cathy Kreager, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and former co-workers.

                Friends and family may attend calling hours for Bob on Wednesday, February 10th from 2-4 & 6-8PM at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday the 11th at 11AM at the funeral home, with Dick Harris officiating services.  Burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later date.  The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude for the comfort provided by Genesis Hospice during these last months; they would also request that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center,  C/O The Arthur G.
