Rebecca Valentine

Rebecca A. Valentine passed away peacefully, while in the loving presence of her family, while in the care of the Morrison House in Zanesville on February 24th, 2017, she was 63 years old.  She was born in Zanesville on March 12th, 1953 to Louis and Dorothy (Wisecarver) Ross.  Rebecca worked at the Lumi-lite Candle factory for 34 years.  She enjoyed reading romance novels, and tending her garden; she most especially cherished the time that she spent with her beloved family.  She will be deeply missed.

                She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Valentine, and their children including Jeremy (Michelle) Valentine, Robert (Kim) Valentine, Melissa (Jason) Fowler, and Larry Valentine.  She leaves to cherish her memory 8 grandchildren, including Katelyn Valentine, Kyle Valentine, Taylor Valentine, Hayden Whitt, Connor Fowler, Brooklyn Valentine, Brady Valentine, and Finley Valentine.  She will be missed by her mother, Dorothy Berkshire, eight brothers and sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her father, Louis Ross, and her father and mother-in-law, Arka and Mary Eileen Valentine.

                Friends and family may attend calling hours for Rebecca at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Monday, February 27th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM.  Services will follow on Tuesday at 11AM, with Pastor Roger Morrow officiating services.  Burial will follow at the Norwich United Presbyterian Cemetery.  The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Morrison House for the special attention given to Rebecca.
