Patsy Ellen Pennell

Patsy E. Pennell passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 11th, 2016 while in the care of the Beckett House of New Concord; she was 78 years old.  She was born in Cambridge, Ohio on January 20th, 1937 to Russell and Kathyrn  (Tuttle) Meighen.   Patsy was a dedicated wife and loving mother, who enjoyed the time that she spent with her family.  She owned and operated with her husband several businesses including Meighen Electric and the Dairy Isle in both Belpre and Cambridge, Ohio.  She worked at the Ohio Pottery in Zanesville, and was a Volunteer at Guernsey Hospital.

                She is preceded in death by her parents.  Patsy is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James Pennell, and their children including, Janice (John) Coleman, Rusty (Sherry) Pennell, Rob (Regina) Pennell, and Randy Pennell.  She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Jessica Wilson, Josh Coleman, Dirk Pennell, Mike Pennell, A.J. Pennell, Paige Pennell, Shayla Pennell, Colton Pennell, and Jyliann Pennell; as well as her great-grandchildren Jaycee, Jersey, and Jarrett Wilson; Maeli, Payton, and Kelly Marie Pennell, and many friends.

Friends and family are welcomed to attend calling hours for Patsy at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Thursday, September 15th from 11 to 1pm , her services will commence promptly at 1PM.  The family would like to thank the workers of the Beckett House for the care and compassion they have given to Patsy.
