Norman K Swope

Norman K. Swope, Sr. passed away peacefully in his home while in the loving presence of his family on Monday, February 13, 2017, he was 78 years old.  He was born in Dresden, Ohio on April 6, 1938 to Guy and Sarah Swope.  Norman worked for himself hanging dry wall and as a painter.  He loved his family, and cherished being both a father and grandfather.  His quick wit never left him for a loss of words.

                He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (David) Meyers, his daughter, Darlene (Stan) Lewis, his son, Norman Swope, Jr., his daughter, Nora (Steve) Allen, his daughter, Juanita Moore, his daughter, Jessica (Paul) Everson, his son, Joshua (Amber) Swope, his son, Jim (Cheryl) Swope, his son, Joe (Jordan) Swope, and his son, Justin (Kasey) Swope.  He leaves to cherish his memory many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; he will be deeply missed by his sister, Louise Ferry, his brother, Alan Swope, his sisters-in-law, Ona Swope, and Betty Swope, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.  He is predeceased by his parents, three brothers including Guy Swope, Jr., Charles W. Swope, and Nevitt Swope, his sister, Erma Poorman, and his brother-in-law, Joseph Ferry, Sr. 

Per his wishes, a caring cremation will take place, and a memorial service for his family and friends will be held at Evergreen Village on February 18th from 2 to 5PM.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Rambo Memorial Health Center, 711 Main St, Zanesville, OH 43701, for all their kindness and care given to Norman is deeply appreciated by his family.
