Muriel Dennison Knicely, residing at the Beckett House in New Concord, passed away on Saturday, May 16th following a brief illness. She was born on April 22nd, 1925 to Wade and Etta Dennison in Orlando, West Virginia (Braxton County). She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. She loved to read and made the most beautiful quilts. She married Glen L. Knicely on October 16th, 1944.
Muriel is preceded in death by her husband, Glen, two half brothers, Kenneth Jake Heater, and Wade Perry Dennison, Jr., as well as her parents, Wade and Etta Dennison. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy (Larry) McCourt, five sons including, Steven (Janie) Knicely, Chuck (Myra) Knicely (all of Cambridge, OH), Roger (Joyce) Knicely of Columbia, SC, Larry Knicely, and Jerry (Kay) Knicely both of New Concord, OH. She leaves 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews to cherish her memories. Will she be lovingly remembered by her two sisters, Snoah Dennison Allday of Tyron, Oklahoma, and Patricia Dennison McClain of Cleveland, Texas.
Friends and family may attend calling hours at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Tuesday, May 19th from 1 to 3 with a Sunshine Service taking place graveside following immediately thereafter in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
