Matthew A. Gard

Matthew Allan Gard, 41 of Zanesville, passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2018.

Matthew was born in Zanesville on July 5, 1976.  He is the son of Bonnie (Danny Stewart) Sheets of Zanesville and the late Mark C. Gard.  He previously worked for 5-B’s.  He was a good hearted soul and never met a stranger, he loved watching and working on dirt bikes and listening to old school rock and roll.

Matthew is survived by his mother, and his two brothers Mark (Donita) Gard and Jason Reger; his sister, Lesley Gard; maternal grandmother, Donna Sheets; his paternal grandparents, Charles K. (Wilma) Gard; his nephews, Mark Gard II and Stetson Gard and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In addition to his father, Matthew is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dewey Sheets, his paternal grandmother, Kate Gard.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in Matthew’s name to the Gard fund, c/o CNB, PO Box 423, Duncan Falls, OH, 43734 or directly to the Farus Funeral Home to help with expenses.

Visitation will be 11 am to 1 pm on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 1 pm.  He will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
