Linda L Newland

Linda L.  Newland, 69, of Philo, passed away on Wednesday, March 29th,2017, at 7:53 at Genesis Health Care.  Linda was born August 4, 1947 in Zanesville to the late Ralph E. and Alice (Swackhammer) Spencer.  Linda was a Baptist by Faith and a supporter of the law enforcement, military and Apache Children of South Dakota. She was an avid gardener and outdoors person. Was a West Muskingum graduate of 1965.

She is survived by her Husband John Newland, whom she married September 1, 1967; a daughter Anita (Michael Stephenson) Finck of Zanesville, two Brothers Tom Spencer of Chillicothie and Howard (Bobbi) Spencer of Hopewell, four Grandchildren Amanda (Matt) Tewksbury, Brad (April Jackson) Finck, Brandon Chapman, and Sarah Scott.  Her special pet friend “Nub”.

Friends may call at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls on Friday, March 31 from 4 to 7 and the funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00 at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Harrop officiating and burial will be in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
