With heavy hearts we have to say goodbye to Kelly Jo (Eagleson) Alexander who passed away on January 29th, 2015 while in the care of Good Samaritan Hospital, she was 36 years old. She was born in Cambridge, Ohio on September 12, 1978, to Mark and Vicki (McHenry) Eagleson.
She cherished her children, Savannah and Madison, and loved being their mother. The time that she had with her family was precious to her. Kelly was a loving and compassionate woman, who always placed others before herself; she was always willing to help someone in need.
Kelly wanted to be a nurse since she was a little girl, and worked very hard to achieve her dream. She was a 1996 graduate of John Glenn High School, earned her LPN at the Mideast Vocational School in 2004, and in 2008 graduated at the top of her class as an RN from the Ohio University in Zanesville. She was formerly employed at Genesis Healthcare and most recently as a home healthcare nurse.
Both in childhood and as an adult, Kelly most enjoyed things that allowed her to express the joy in her heart. In school she was a Cheerleader, played softball, was involved in 4-H, and took tap, jazz, and ballet classes for over 15 years. As an adult in her spare time she enjoyed doing crafts, scrap-booking, shopping, and just talking on the phone with her friends.
Kelly is predeceased in death by her Uncle Joseph Eagleson, her maternal Grandparents, Nye & Priscilla McHenry, her maternal great-grandmother, Verna McHenry, and her paternal great-grandmother, Marie Pullen-Pruitt.
She leaves a host of friends and family to cherish her memory, including her husband, Ernie Alexander, her precious daughters Savannah Lynn Gibson and Madison Grace Gibson, her mother, Vicki Harney and step-father Jerry Harney, her father, Mark Eagleson and step-mother Lori Eagleson, her sister, Kristy (Darren) Tigner, her beloved niece Emerson Lou Tigner, her mother and father in-law, Ernest Alexander and Debora Alexander, and paternal grandparents, Mary Lou and Cliff Eagleson, as well as one step-brother, two step-sisters, several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
Friends and family may gather at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Monday, February 2nd from 4 to 8pm for calling hours. On Tuesday, February 3rd friends are welcome to call from 12 Noon until 2PM. Services will begin promptly at 2 O’clock, with Pastor Terry D. Newman officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Paul cemetery in Sonora.
