Kay Garber

              D. Kay Garber passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, February 3rd after a brief battle with cancer, she was 63 years old.  She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on June 25th, 1952 to Everet and Dorothy Powelson.  Kay enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, quilting, sewing, and riding together with her husband, Danny, on their motorcycle.  Kay cherished her family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

                She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Helen Prouty, her sister, Mary Louise Watson, and her brother, Wayne Powelson.  She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Danial Garber, their son, D.J. (Shannon) Garber, and her grandchildren, Abbey, Dakota, Gavyn, Jaidyn, and Coltyn.  She will be deeply missed by her sister, Sue (Tom) Daugherty, and her brother, Jim Powelson, her In-laws including; Eloise (Sonny) Gray, Lester (Connie) Garber, Lane (Marty) Garber, Wayne (Joyce) Garber, Jean (Wendell (deceased)) Beach, Randy (Penny) Garber, Darrell (Mary) Garber, and Gary Garber, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

                Friends and Family are welcome to attend calling hours for Kay at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Friday, February 5th from 3 to 8pm, and on Saturday the 6th from 10 to 11am.  Services will start sharply at 11am, and burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Pastor Keith Taylor will be officiating services.  The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Genesis Hospice for the treatment and support Kay received under their care.
