Karla Metcalf

Karla Metcalf, 69 of Zanesville, passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2018 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. 

Karla was born on June 6, 1948 in Zanesville.  She is the daughter of Norma J. Sims-Addis and the late George Sims Jr.  She retired from Greif Brothers in Zanesville, she continued working for Sams Club for 10 years.  She was a faithful member of Immanuel Church of Downtown Zanesville where she was very faithful with the Bible Study Group, Women of Faith.  She also volunteered weekly at the church.

Karla is survived by her mother; her three children, Stephanie (Darrin) Hayes of Zanesville, Bill (Sarah) Metcalf of Zanesville and Julie Metcalf of Chandlersville; her grandchildren Kearsten, Hayley, Haiden and Lily Metcalf; her sister Sue (Rick) Hildebrand of Zanesville; her niece, Angela (Mark) McDermott; her nephew J. Tony (Elayna) Rose and several great-nieces and great nephews.

Friends and family may attend calling hours for Karla at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM where Funeral Services will be held Friday 11 AM, Pastor Mitch Reed will officiate.  Burial will take place in Rose Hill Cemetery.
