Jane A. Groves

Jane Ann Groves, 84, formerly of Zanesville passed away at her Fresno, Ohio home on Thursday, October 19, 2017.

Jane was born in Hocking County on July 24, 1933.  She is the daughter of the late Theodore O. and Therma F. Groves.  She worked as a rural mail carrier for 25 years in the Zanesville and Hocking County Areas, and worked for the Franklin Local School District as a bus driver; she was a member of Olive Branch OES #251 and a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church of Stovertown.

Jane is survived by her two children Jackie S. (John) Wilkins of Fresno and Jerry (Michelle) Barstow of Zanesville; one grandson Nathan M. Atkins and a great-granddaughter Paige Atkins; her brother Jerry L. (Jean) Groves of Lancaster; a cousin Charlene Fatzinger of Nelsonville.

In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her two brothers James Groves and Therman Groves and a sister N. Sue Groves.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Stovertown Lutheran Church Cemetery with longtime family friend Bill Thomas Jr. officiating.
