Grace Arlene Crawford

Grace Arlene Crawford went home to the be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 22, 2017, while in the care of the Grant Medical Center; she was 84 years old.  She was born in Cambridge, Ohio on October 29, 1932 to Chauncey and Mary (Moorehead) Bench.  Grace loved her family deeply, and so enjoyed spending time with them.  She was an avid reader, her favorite book, of course, was God’s Holy Word; she even had her own private library in her study.  She had a very strong faith and loved studying the bible and sharing her faith with others.  She felt privileged that she had the opportunity to journey to Israel and visit the Holy land.  She was a member of the Claysville United Methodist Church.  She loved music and was a former member of the Friendship VII Chapter of the Sweet Adeline's for many years.

She is survived by her son, John (Florence) Crawford, Jr., her daughter, Linda (Dave) Metz, daughter, Debbie (Rick) Neff, and daughter, Gracie Crawford-Bertini; she also leaves to cherish her memory 18 grandchildren, and several great and great-great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John H. Crawford, Sr., whom she married October 20th, 1950, her two daughters, Patsy Crawford and Mary Ann Tom, her infant son, David Crawford, three brothers, and one sister.

Friends are welcome to attend calling hours for Grace on Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord from 2 to 4PM.  Services will be held at 4, with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating services, burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist cemetery.  Grace will be greatly missed by those who loved her and were blessed to have known her.
