Garnet L. (Mrs. Franklin) Foster, 91 of Zanesville, passed away on September 22, 2015 while under the care of Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville.
Garnet was born in Carthan, OH on April 3, 1924 to the late James and Blanche (Folk) Klingler. Her first job was with the Somerset Farm Bureau. She later worked at the Muskingum County Vocational School, and at the West Main Senior Center, she volunteered at the ‘Free Store’ at the First Methodist Church and the Muskingum County Library and she was a member of the Zane Trail Camping Club. She was an active member of the Duncan Falls United Methodist Church where she attended the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Garnet is survived by her daughter Marilyn (Dave) Moody of Zanesville and her two sons Larry Foster of Mt. Gilead and Randy (Jan) Foster of N.C.; her daughter in law Mary Ellen Foster of Macedonia, OH; her grandchildren Jenny Moody, Kelley (Mike) Stephenson, Tisha (Dutch) Bivens, Tiffany (Brad) Storts and Matthew, Brian (Jamie) and Christopher Foster; her great-grandchildren Skye Bivens, James Foster Stephenson, David Michael Stephenson, Auracle Garnet and Serenity and Jayden and Brianne Storts and her sister-in-law June Foster of Somerset.
Garnet is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Franklin D. Foster whom she married October 23, 1943 and who passed away April 16, 2005, her son Terry Foster, her granddaughter Lisa Moody and her sister Helen Binckley
Visitations will be 4 to 7 pm Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral service will be 11 am Saturday with Pastor Joy French and Rev. Karen Osborn officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
