Freda May Marshall

       Freda May Marshall passed away peacefully in the loving presence of her family, on Monday March 16th, 2015, she was 85 years old.  Freda was born in Blue Rock, Ohio on December 27, 1929 to Rollin and Emily Gillogly.  She was a loving mother, and a devoted grandmother, who cherished her time with her family.  She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, and playing Bingo.  She also made the best cookies, particularly her peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.  She especially liked to go camping, and belonged to the Good Sam Camping Club.

            Freda is predeceased by her husband, William Marshall, Sr., whom she married December 27th, 1946 and passed on September 5th, 2012.  She was also preceded by her parents, her son, William Marshall, Jr., two brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Dave) Calandine , and Debbie Marshall, her son, Mike (Angela) Marshall, her daughter-in-law, Glenna Marshall, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great- grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed by her brother Harold Gillogly, as well as several nieces, nephews, and her “grandcat”, Sixxieboy.

Services for Freda will be held at the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Tim Pollock officiating, on Friday, March 20th .  Friends and family are welcome to arrive at 10:30 AM, services will begin promptly at 11AM.  Burial will follow at the Bloomfield Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Genesis Hospice, 713 Forest Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701.  The family would like to thank the staff of Genesis Hospice for the care and compassion they received during their time of need.
