Fred S. Apperson

Fred S. Apperson, 74 of Zanesville, passed away at 6:15 am, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Fred was born at his family home in High Hill on November 23, 1940, the son of the late Dice and Lula (Sewright) Apperson.  He spent his life farming, logging and in the oil fields.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed riding his four wheeler, fishing and hunting everything!  He was a member of the Morgan County Coyote Hunters Club.

Fred is survived by his wife Nancy (Wilson) Apperson; his children Brian (Laura) Apperson of Zanesville, Jeff (Beverly) Apperson of Zanesville, Melissa (Troy) McConnell of Chandlersville and Andy (Candi) Apperson of Chandlersville; his adopted son Tom and Carolyn Rayner; his two grandsons Daniel and Tyler Apperson and his three step-grandsons Justin and Bradley Whitlatch and Christopher Del Toro; his cousin Jerry Apperson of McConnelsville and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held 11 am, Friday with Phil Walker officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Chandlersville Cemetery.
