D. Jean Huey

Donna “Jean” Huey, 88 of Zanesville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Zanesville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Jean was born in Herndon, West Virginia on October 28, 1927.  She was the daughter of Henry Little and Mable (Wilson) Odell.  Jean had a love for nursing and caring for other that shined thru to her work.  She spent over 40 years in Philo, Ohio working for ‘Doc Thompson’ caring for the community.  She was a member of the Springfield Lions Club and the South Zanesville United Methodist Church.

Jean is survived by her daughter Marsha Huey of Arlington, TX; her two grandchildren Chris Huey and Matthew (Misty) Huey both of Duncan Falls; her brother Henry “Hank” Little of Alabama and several nieces and nephews.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Huey, who passed away in 1967; her son Michael Huey who passed away in 1999 and her three siblings Jerry Little, Margaret Roberts and Mabel Evelyn “Jigg” Jones.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in Jean’s Name to the South Zanesville United Methodist Church, 53 East Main Street, Zanesville, OH 43701.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday with Pastor Dee Rader officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
