Cynthia Wilson, 66, of New Concord passed away in her home while in the presence of her loving family on Saturday, December  9,  2017,  following a courageous battle against Alzheimer’s.  She was born on August 20, 1951, in Chicago, IL, to Charles & Evelyn “Gen” Russell. She was an avid John Glenn High School and Ohio State Buckeyes fan through and through. Her professional career in accounting began at Abbott Laboratories and continued at the Longaberger Company and as the office manager at the George P. Frueh Company. Her hobby was lawn care and landscaping around her home with which she was meticulous in her care. Her favorite vacation spot was Rehoboth, DE where she enjoyed the beach and having a grinder from Louie's Pizza or some delicious crabs at the Crabber’s Cove.
She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Gary Wilson, whom she married on September 16, 1972, their son, Josh (Christy) Wilson, her grandchildren, Payton, Brooklyn, and Evelyn. She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Sherry (Larry) Patton and Holly (Rick) Fusner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, former co-workers, and neighbors.
Per her wishes a comforting and care filled cremation will take place. The family will hold a celebration of life on December 16, 2017, from 10AM-12 Noon at the Rix Mills Church with Jim Gibson officiating.  The service will begin at 12 noon and will be followed by scattering of ashes at the family farm. Her care has been entrusted to Farus Funeral Home of New Concord.
