Carol A. Grandstaff

Carol A. Grandstaff, 77 of Blue Rock passed away peacefully on January 6, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Genesis Hospice.

Carol was born in Roseville on October 16, 1939.  She is the daughter of the late Charles and Lela (Reynolds) Burkett.  She previously worked for the News Journal in Mansfield for 12 years and she retired from the Glass House in Zanesville after 15 years of service.  She was a loving wife and mother and she enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ronald Grandstaff, whom she married July 18, 1959; her two daughters Beth Irene Grandstaff of Philo and Tammy Lee Vanderkooi of Arizona; her grandchildren Aaron, Ronald, Cheryl, Christopher and Carol and her three sisters Wanda Carnes, Ruby Maxwell and Pearl Fesler all of Zanesville.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her two brothers Paul Burkett and Charles Burkett.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, January 9, 2017 where funeral services will be held 11 am, January 10, 2017.  A caring cremation will follow the service.
