Barbara Sue Grether

Barbara “Bobbi” Sue Grether passed away peacefully while in the care of Genesis Hospital on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, she was 72 years old.  Bobbi was born in Bluefield, Virginia on December8, 1944 to Clay and Wanda (Atwell) Hudgens.  Bobbi worked as an LPN in many area nursing homes, including Adams Lane and Sunny View.  She enjoyed shopping, watching religious programming, and her cats. 

She is survived by her loving husband, David Grether, her son, Desmond S. Hager, her son, Jonathon “John” (Sara) Hager, 4 stepchildren, 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and her beloved felines, Precious and Tommy cat.  She is predeceased by her parents, her daughter, Wanda Veronica Hager Rau, and her step-father, Arthur E. Jess.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours for Bobbi at the Farus Funeral home of New Concord from 2 to 3PM on Saturday, December 2, 2017.  At 3PM there will be a graveside service held at the Norwich United Presbyterian Cemetery, with Pastor Tom Hayes officiating.
