Alice Jean Hall

Alice Jean “AJ” Hall, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday, November 21st.  She was born in Cumberland on November 28, 1939 to Ivan Lee and Beulah (Martin) Wickham .  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, watching westerns, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family.  She belonged to the Homemakers and was a member of the Ark Spring Baptist Church.

            Alice is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lynn Hall, her granddaughter, Ashley (Reece) Warne, of Dresden, her grandson, Adam (Jessica) Hall, of Cumberland, and her granddaughter, Alex Jean Scott, of Cumberland.  She leaves to cherish her memory six great-grandchildren, including Sawyer, Raylin, Caleb, Bentley, Lilly, Colton, Abigail, and Madison.  She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Fred (Martha) Wickham, Carl (Sandy) Wickham, Stanley (Becky) Wickham, and her step-mother, Pauline Wickham; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Kimberly Hall-Scott, and her sister-in-law, Karen Wickham.

                Friends and family are welcomed to attend calling hours for Alice on Friday, November 25th at the Ark Spring Baptist Church from the hours of 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26th at the Ark Spring Baptist Church at 11AM with Rev. Paul Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow at the Ark Spring cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Ark Spring Baptist Church, 8085 Big Muskie Dr, Chandlersville, OH 43727, the Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department, 444 W Main St, Cumberland, OH 43732.  The family would like to express their gratitude for the care given by the staff of the Beckett house while Alice was in their care.
